1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Data
- Anonymous user ID (when you choose to continue anonymously)
- Email address and display name (when you sign in with Google or email/password)
- Date of birth (used solely for age verification and numerology / aura features)
- Gender and relationship preferences (used to personalise your discovery feed)
Profile Data
- Profile photos you upload
- Bio, interests, and other profile information you voluntarily provide
- Numerology / aura type data derived from your date of birth
Usage Data
- Chat messages you send within the App
- Groups you join or create
- In-app interactions (likes, reactions, etc.)
- Log data such as IP address, device type, operating system version, and App crash reports
Device Data
- Push notification token (stored in your user profile to deliver notifications)
- Device identifiers required by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for ad serving
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
AuraConnect displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data about you to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:
- Advertising identifiers (GAID / IDFA)
- Device information (model, OS version, language, country)
- Interaction data with ads (impressions, clicks)
- Approximate location (country/region level) derived from IP address
Ad data collection and use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Advertising Policies. You may opt out of personalised ads by adjusting your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Personalised Ads off
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. Ad revenue helps us keep the App free for all users.
3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
AuraConnect offers optional premium subscriptions and in-app purchases through the Google Play Store. These may include features such as:
- Ad-free experience
- Unlimited swipes / profile boosts
- Exclusive aura themes and badges
- Priority matching and advanced filters
All payments are processed exclusively by Google Play. We do not collect or store your credit card number or other payment details. Google's Payments Privacy Notice applies to all transactions.
Subscription status (active / expired) is communicated to us by Google Play to unlock or restrict premium features within the App. We do not receive or store raw payment card information.
You may cancel a subscription at any time through your Google Play account: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policies.
4. Cloud Infrastructure & Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted, industry-standard cloud services provided by Google to operate the App:
- Authentication – manages your sign-in securely (anonymous, Google, email/password)
- Cloud Database – stores user profiles, messages, and group data in secure cloud storage
- Push Notifications – delivers real-time notifications to your device
- Analytics – collects anonymised usage statistics to help us improve the App
- Crash Reporting – collects crash reports to help us fix bugs quickly
- Cloud Storage – stores profile photos you upload
These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To provide, personalise, and improve the App's features
- To match you with compatible users based on your preferences
- To send push notifications about messages, matches, and App updates
- To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdMob
- To process subscription payments and unlock premium features
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in limited cases:
- Service providers – Google (cloud infrastructure, AdMob, Play Billing) as described above
- Other users – your public profile information (display name, photo, bio, aura type) is visible to other App users
- Legal obligations – if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
- Business transfers – in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred (users will be notified)
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by:
- Using the Delete Account option in the App's Profile settings, or
- Emailing us at astro.mitraapp@gmail.com
Upon deletion, your Firestore data, profile photos, and authentication record will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate analytics data may be retained longer.
8. Children's Privacy
AuraConnect is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. 9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Security Rules, HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, and access controls to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and report any suspected security issues to us promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access – request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction – request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion – request deletion of your account and data
- Portability – request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out of personalised ads – via device settings as described in Section 2

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law, notify you via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
